Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Earth Women offers spaces and experiences that invite women into deeper relationship with themselves, one another and the natural world.

These Terms & Conditions explain the agreements that support participation in Earth Women offerings.

By booking, purchasing or participating in an offering, you agree to these terms and any additional information or consent requirements provided for that particular experience.

1. About Earth Women

Earth Women offerings may take place online or in outdoor environments.

Depending on the offering, experiences may include guided practices, reflection, writing, body-based practices, time in nature, group sharing, personal exploration, plant medicine practices or other experiential activities.

The details of each offering, including its purpose, format, date, location, price, inclusions, preparation requirements and any relevant risks, will be communicated before registration.

2. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed once the required registration process has been completed and payment has been received, unless otherwise stated.

Prices, payment arrangements and any additional costs will be communicated before purchase. You are responsible for providing accurate registration and contact information and completing any required payment.

Where an offering has limited places, a place is not guaranteed until your booking is confirmed.

For longer journeys, retreats or offerings involving multiple payments, any deposit, instalment arrangement and applicable cancellation terms will be communicated before you commit.

3. Cancellations, transfers and refunds

If you need to cancel a booking, please contact earthwomennz@gmail.com as soon as possible.

Participant cancellations: Earth Women requests at least 48 hours' notice of cancellation. Refunds and requests to transfer a booking will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the nature of the offering, the timing of the cancellation, any costs already committed and the circumstances involved.

Providing 48 hours' notice does not automatically guarantee a refund, and giving less than 48 hours' notice does not automatically remove any rights you may have under applicable law.

For retreats, multi-session journeys, plant medicine experiences and other offerings involving advance preparation or non-refundable commitments, additional cancellation terms may apply. These will be provided before booking.

Missed sessions or non-attendance: If you do not attend an offering, please contact me to discuss your circumstances. A refund, transfer or alternative arrangement will be considered in accordance with the terms communicated for the offering and applicable law.

If Earth Women cancels an offering: I will communicate the cancellation as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options, including any applicable refund or alternative arrangement.

If an offering changes: Where a material change affects an experience you have booked, I will communicate the change and discuss appropriate options with you.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights or remedies available to you under New Zealand consumer law.

4. Participation and personal responsibility

Earth Women aims to offer spaces in which women can participate with respect for their own boundaries and the experiences of others.

By participating, you acknowledge that:

  • You are responsible for your own choices, boundaries and level of participation.

  • You may choose whether to speak, write, share or engage in a particular practice, subject to any essential requirements communicated before booking.

  • You may communicate your needs, pause an activity or step away when appropriate.

  • You are encouraged to raise relevant health, access or safety concerns before an offering.

  • You will respect the boundaries, dignity and choices of others.

You are not expected to share personal information or experiences that you do not wish to share. You are encouraged to participate at your own pace and to communicate if you need support or clarification.

5. Health, wellbeing and the nature of the work

Earth Women may offer reflective, spiritual, body-based, nature-based and immersive experiences intended to support personal exploration and connection.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, these offerings are not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, psychological treatment or advice from a suitably qualified health professional. No particular physical, emotional, spiritual or personal outcome is promised.

You are responsible for considering whether an offering is suitable for you and seeking appropriate professional advice if you are unsure whether a practice is appropriate for your circumstances.

Where relevant, please communicate any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, sensitivities, medications or other safety considerations requested for a particular experience.

This information will be handled in accordance with the Earth Women Privacy Policy.

6. Outdoor and immersive experiences

Some Earth Women journeys take place in natural environments, including forests, coastal areas, rivers, lakes and other natural landscapes.

Natural environments can be unpredictable. Depending on the location and activity, risks may include uneven or slippery terrain, changing weather, tides, currents, cold water, remote locations, insects, plants, wildlife and other environmental conditions.

Before participating, please consider your own physical capabilities, experience, comfort and needs. You agree to follow reasonable safety instructions, respect local access restrictions and make informed choices about your participation.

You are never expected to enter the water, undertake a physical activity or participate in a practice that does not feel appropriate for you.

Where an offering involves swimming, entering natural waterways, challenging terrain, exposure to the elements or another activity with specific risks, additional safety information and requirements may be provided before the experience.

Earth Women will take reasonable care in planning and facilitating these experiences. However, natural conditions may change and some risks cannot be entirely eliminated. Nothing in these terms removes any duty of care or legal responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. Cultural Respect and Care for Place

Earth Women operates in Aotearoa New Zealand, the ancestral whenua of Māori, the tangata whenua of this land.

We acknowledge the importance of respecting mana whenua, local tikanga and the cultural significance of the places in which our gatherings and journeys take place.

Participants are asked to approach each location with care, respect local guidance and access restrictions, and avoid disturbing wāhi tapu, taonga, wildlife or culturally significant places.

Earth Women seeks to foster an environment that welcomes women from diverse cultural backgrounds, ancestries, beliefs and lived experiences. Participants are expected to respect these differences and refrain from discrimination, cultural appropriation or behaviour that diminishes the dignity of others.

Where an experience involves local cultural knowledge, practices or protocols, Earth Women will seek appropriate guidance and respect the knowledge and authority of those to whom it belongs.

All participants are invited to enter these spaces with humility, openness and care for one another and the whenua.

8. Changes due to weather or environmental conditions

Outdoor experiences may be affected by weather, tides, water conditions, access restrictions or other environmental factors.

Where reasonably necessary for safety or practical reasons, Earth Women may alter the location, timing, activities or format of an experience, or postpone or cancel.

If a change or cancellation is necessary, I will communicate this as soon as reasonably possible and explain the available options. Any refund, transfer or alternative arrangement will be handled in accordance with the terms communicated for the offering and applicable law.

9. Plant medicine experiences

Some Earth Women offerings may involve plant medicines. The nature of any such experience, including what is involved, will be communicated before registration.

Where relevant, participants will be provided with information about preparation, potential risks, contraindications, consent and any requirements for participation.

You are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information requested for safety purposes, including information about health conditions, allergies, sensitivities and medications. Please ask questions and seek advice from an appropriately qualified health professional where needed before participating.

Participation must be voluntary and based on an informed understanding of the particular experience. You may raise concerns or decline participation in an activity.

No plant medicine should be used unless its use is lawful and appropriate in the circumstances. Any specific offering will be subject to applicable legal requirements and additional safety and consent procedures.

Nothing in these terms should be interpreted as medical advice or as a guarantee that a particular substance or practice is safe for every person.

10. Confidentiality and respect within group spaces

Earth Women invites participants to approach one another with care, respect and consideration.

Participants are asked not to share another person's name, personal story, identifying details, image or contributions outside a gathering without their permission.

I will handle personal information in accordance with the Earth Women Privacy Policy. However, confidentiality within a group cannot be guaranteed because participants are independent individuals, and there may be circumstances in which disclosure is required or authorised by law.

Participants are expected to avoid harassment, intimidation, discrimination, abusive behaviour or conduct that compromises the safety and integrity of a gathering.

Where necessary, Earth Women may address conduct that is inconsistent with these expectations, including asking a participant to pause their involvement or leave an offering. Any associated refund or other remedy will be considered in accordance with the circumstances and applicable law.

11. Online gatherings and digital resources

For online offerings, you are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection and, where reasonably possible, a private environment.

Please do not share meeting links, login details or access to paid resources with people who have not been authorised to participate.

Unless expressly permitted, participants must not record, photograph, screenshot, livestream or distribute an online gathering or another participant's contributions without the appropriate permission.

Where an offering is described as a live-only experience, no recording will be made available to participants unless otherwise communicated in advance.

Digital resources are provided for the personal use described at the time of purchase. Access arrangements, including any access period or download restrictions, will be communicated for the relevant resource.

12. Intellectual property

Original written materials, guided practices, recordings, images, digital resources and other content created or provided by Earth Women remain the intellectual property of their respective owners unless otherwise agreed.

You may use materials provided to you for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to any specific licence or conditions communicated with the material.

You must not reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, teach, record or commercially use Earth Women's original materials without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Participants retain ownership of their own original contributions. Please respect the intellectual property and privacy of others and obtain permission before reproducing or sharing their work.

13. One-to-one sessions

The purpose, format, duration, price and any preparation requirements for a one-to-one session will be communicated before booking.

Sessions are intended to support the particular offering described and do not replace medical, psychological or other professional services unless explicitly stated and lawfully provided as such.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, the cancellation terms in section 3 and any specific terms communicated at booking will apply, subject to your rights under applicable law.

14. Changes to offerings

Circumstances may occasionally require changes to an offering, including changes to timing, venue, format, activities or facilitation arrangements.

If a change is necessary, I will communicate it as soon as reasonably possible. If a significant change affects an offering you have booked, I will explain the available options and address any refund or transfer in accordance with the booking terms and applicable law.

15. Website use

The Earth Women website provides information about my work and offerings. I aim to keep this information accurate and up to date, but details may change as offerings develop.

The specific description, price, format and conditions communicated at the time of booking will be relevant to your participation.

You agree not to misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access to its systems, interfere with its operation or infringe the rights of others through your use of it.

Links to third-party websites and services may be provided for convenience. Those websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

16. Liability and legal rights

Earth Women will take reasonable care in providing its offerings and communicating relevant information about participation.

You are responsible for making informed choices about your participation, following reasonable safety instructions and communicating relevant needs or concerns.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any legal responsibility, consumer guarantee, statutory right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under New Zealand law or other applicable law.

17. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand, to the extent applicable.

Where an offering is available internationally, mandatory consumer protection laws that apply to a participant may also be relevant.

18. Updates to these terms

Earth Women may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in its offerings, practices or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on the website with the latest update date. Changes affecting existing bookings will be handled appropriately and in accordance with applicable law.
